This course consists of four hours of training with lecture, discussion, video demonstration, practical application, and written exam in accordance with the American Heart Association. It teaches the student adult and child CPR using an AED. Also teaches infant CPR. Students will learn how to give compressions and breaths, open the airway, use a mask, and check for a response. Practical application will be demonstrated on American Heart Association approved mannequins and an AED trainer unit.

  • This course consists of four hours of training with lecture, discussion, video demonstration, practical application, and written exam in accordance with the America Heart Association. It will teach the student what first aid is, the duty to give first aid, victims with a breathing problem, how to relieve choking, bad allergic reactions, use of an epinephrine pen, bleeding that can be seen and not seen, how to stop bleeding and first aid for bites and stings. Further emphasis will be on injury emergencies such as head, neck, spine, broken bones and sprains, burns and electrocution. Environmental emergencies will include temperature related and poison emergencies.
